MEP Calc uses DIN 2440 tables for heating and cooling pipe sizing — four separate tables, 18 friction resistance rows and 14 pipe diameter options for professional sizing. The Hazen-Williams and Darcy-Weisbach methods are supported in the fluid dynamics calculations.
Ventilation ductwork is sized with the Colebrook-White equation. This iterative equation calculates the friction factor and pressure loss precisely. You can compare circular and rectangular ducts and calculate equivalent diameter and area.

Yes. MEP Calc supports both SI (metric) and Imperial (IP) unit systems, and the unit system can be changed in every module. The formulas have separate calculation functions for SI and IP, so there is no intermediate conversion error. It also includes six independent unit converters: pressure, flow, length, temperature, power and energy.
