A fire sprinkler design calculation app. Sprinkler system design, calculation and reporting to three major standards.
Three major fire standards in one app
The American fire standard. Standard system, ESFR and CMSA/CMDA sprinkler design.
Storage area configuration. Palletised storage, rack type and commodity class options.
The European sprinkler standard. Area of operation, water storage and duration calculations.
Every stage of sprinkler design
Every sprinkler model from K-80 to K-480. Standard, Quick Response and ESFR types, with orientation and response class selection.
Automatic design density calculation by occupancy type, across Light Hazard, Ordinary Hazard and Extra Hazard classifications.
FM Global and NFPA 13 storage categories, with palletised storage, rack type, commodity class and storage height parameters.
Total flow (L/min or GPM), area of operation, water storage volume and duration calculations, including the hose stream allowance.
A professional PDF report for each standard, with all calculation details, sprinkler data and design parameters.
English and Turkish language support, with instant switching between SI (metric) and Imperial unit systems.
Complete your sprinkler design in three steps
Choose the design standard (NFPA 13, FM Global or BS EN 12845). Enter occupancy type, area and ceiling height.
Set the detail parameters — storage present or not, storage type, commodity class — with a dedicated storage configuration for FM Global.
Sprinkler selection, water demand, area of operation and every calculation result. Generate a PDF report and share it.
SprinkCalc supports three major international fire sprinkler standards: NFPA 13-2025 (the American standard), FM Global (the industrial insurance standard) and BS EN 12845:2015 (the European standard). It is one of the few solutions bringing all three together in a single iOS app. Each standard has its own calculation methodology, design densities and sprinkler selection criteria.
The K-factor is the coefficient that defines a sprinkler head's water discharge performance. SprinkCalc supports every standard sprinkler model from K-80 to K-480. The app determines the appropriate K-factor range automatically from the selected design standard and occupancy type. You can choose between Standard Response, Quick Response and ESFR sprinkler heads.
Yes. SprinkCalc fully supports ESFR (Early Suppression Fast Response) design under NFPA 13. For high-bay storage you can calculate ESFR sprinkler selection against storage height, commodity class and rack type parameters. CMSA (Control Mode Specific Application) and CMDA (Control Mode Density Area) design methods are included as well.
The FM Global module calculates specifically for industrial storage areas. By entering whether storage is present, the storage height in metres, the storage type (palletised, racked and so on) and the commodity class (Class I–IV, Plastic Group A/B/C), you can design a sprinkler system that meets the FM Global data sheet requirements.
SprinkCalc calculates total water demand automatically for the selected standard. For NFPA 13 it derives sprinkler flow, hose allowance and total demand (L/min or GPM) from design density times area of operation. For BS EN 12845 it calculates the area of operation, water storage volume (m³) and minimum duration in minutes. Results can be exported as a PDF report immediately.
NFPA 13 is the American standard, using the density-area method and calculating flows in GPM. BS EN 12845 is the European standard, focused on the area of operation and minimum water storage volume, with results in L/min. SprinkCalc uses a separate calculation engine for each and shows results in both SI and Imperial units.
SprinkCalc is a free download from the App Store, and the core sprinkler calculation features are free to use. In-app subscription options are available for advanced features and access to all standards. It runs on iOS 17 and later.
The professional PDF report contains every calculation detail: the selected design standard, building data (area, ceiling height, occupancy type), sprinkler selection (model, K-factor, response class, orientation), design parameters (density, area of operation) and results (total water demand, storage volume). Reports can be generated in English or Turkish.
Get it from the App Store and take your sprinkler design calculations to a professional level.
